In line with many other organisations, we are reviewing our response to the ongoing situation re coronavirus. At the moment we are not looking to close the Unity Centre, or our ESOL classes – but this may change as further guidance is released. It is a rapidly changing situation, and we ask that you help us by not coming to the Centre if you (or someone close to you) are displaying any of the symptoms.
There will however be some disruption to services – we are suspending our immigration drop in service (this will move to purely telephone advice for the moment) and we will not be seeing clients in person for our discrimination casework service either. CHAWREC staff will also not be attending external meetings.
We ask that everyone takes note of the government hand washing guidance and that people use the antibacterial spray provided to disinfect surfaces regularly, including door handles if you are using the Centre.
It is however likely that we will need to cancel events and fundraisers that we have scheduled for April. We will keep all our service users updated.
